Romeo Crennel states his case for remaining as Kansas City Chiefs head coach

Interim Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel accomplished something 19 other head coaches weren’t able to do in the previous 19 weeks, defeat the Green Bay Packers. Replacing the fired Todd Haley, Romeo Crennel took the first step in stating his case that he should remain as the Chiefs head coach in 2012. If the Chiefs don’t retain him, his win over the Green Bay Packers certainly opened some eyes of teams which are in the market for a new head coach.
Crennel named Kyle Orton the start this week and he responded by effectively moving the Chiefs offense up and down the field certainly more efficiently than Tyler Palko had in recent weeks. Orton threw for 299 yards while completing 23 of 31 passes.  Palko wasn’t just benched for the game, he was inactive for the game.
