Kansas City Chiefs Day 3 2011 NFL Draft Picks
Kansas City took Jalil Brown with the first of their 5 late round selections. Kansas City already has Brandon Flowers, Brandon Carr, and Javier Arenas. Its pretty obvious the Chiefs are getting a dime corner so its harder to throw on their pass defense. Another thing to consider is depth at cornerback if either Flowers or Carr gets injured.
In round 5 the Kansas City Chiefs took Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi. Stanzi could be a good developmental quarterback behind Matt Cassel and may even start over Cassel down the road.
Gabe Miler a 3-4 outside linebacker of Oregon State is not worth drafting, but he may be a flyer that Kansas City is gambling on in case Houston fails drug tests and has character issues at the next level.
