Jeff Fisher Says The Rams Would Consider Re-hiring Gregg Williams
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has made it known — during an interview on ESPN’s Mike and Mike In The Morning, Friday morning — that it’s a “possibility” that the Rams could re-hire Gregg Williams — who was apart of the New Orleans Saints bounty program scandal, according to NFL.com.
Williams was the defensive coordinator in January — prior to the scandal breaking. Earlier this week, the Rams announced that the defensive coordinator job was vacant.
“You know we have to consider that”, Fisher said doing the interview. “I think there will be a lot of conversations at the league-office level. Gregg is very… very remorseful at this point. He regrets everything that took place. He came out in his statement and said that. And I think Gregg, at the end of the day, is going to do some great things for this league off the field before he comes back”, Fisher added.
