Former New York Giants WR Plaxico Burress Signs Pledge Promoting Gun Safety

Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress had a press conference today at an event where he made a pledge to promote gun safety. He talked about that night he shot himself, using his mistake to teach others, and how he plans to move forward.
“I no longer own a firearm in my home, and I don’t carry one.” Burress claimed.
For 20 months in prison, all Burress could do was think about that night, and how something like that could happen to him.
“I dealt with so many different emotions over that time that I can’t really put a finger on one particular one. I was saying to myself over and over and over again, all those many days and nights, ‘How could something like this happen to me?
