Colts hire Chuck Pagano as head coach
The Indianapolis Colts have decided Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano will be their next head coach. The Colts will announce the hire on Thursday.
This will be Pagano’s first head coaching job, he has made a career so far as an assistant in both the NFL with the Ravens, Raiders and Browns and in college football with Miami and North Carolina.
“It’s difficult to leave the Ravens but I couldn’t pass up on this great opportunity,” Pagano said in a statement released by the Ravens. “I’m just thrilled and so excited.”
As the defensive coordinator this season for the Ravens, Pagano’s lead the defense to the third fewest points and yards in the league.
Pagano is a Wyoming graduate, he played strong safety for the Cowboys. He began his coaching career in 1984 as a graduate assistant with Southern California, he moved onto several other colleges before becoming the secondary coach for the Cleveland Browns. He then went on to coach…
